Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Timeline is operated by Viva Carta. References to “we”, “us”, or “the service” mean Viva Carta operating Timeline at timeline.vivacarta.net.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifiers (Supabase Auth or Google OAuth).
  • Content you create: timelines, events, descriptions, dates you enter.
  • Payment data: handled directly by Stripe. We never see your card number. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, request paths) for security and debugging.

3. Why we collect it

To run your account, store your timelines, process subscription payments, send transactional email (receipts, password resets), and keep the service running. We do not sell your data and do not run advertising.

4. Processors we use

  • Supabase: authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Vercel: application hosting and edge delivery.
  • Google: optional OAuth sign-in, only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.

Each processor has its own privacy practices. We share only the data needed for each service to function.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and timelines for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your timelines, events, and personal data within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Email hello@vivacarta.net and we'll respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use cookies strictly for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

8. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll update the date at the top and notify members by email for material changes. Continued use of the service after a change means acceptance of the updated policy.
